Kids' Corner
Explore, Imagine, and Learn
The Hi-Desert Nature Museum's Kids' Corner is an interactive space designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and hands-on learning. Blending educational experiences with imaginative play, this family-friendly area invites children to step back in time and explore aspects of daily life during the pioneer era.
Featuring elements inspired by a historic pioneer cabin and one-room schoolhouse, Kids' Corner encourages young visitors to engage with history through play and discovery.
Children can:
- Pretend to prepare meals using a traditional wood-burning stove
- Practice cursive handwriting on a classroom blackboard
- Explore a variety of books that foster a love of reading and learning
- Engage in imaginative play through hands-on activities and educational toys
By interacting with these historic-themed environments, children gain a greater appreciation for how families lived, learned, and worked in earlier times while developing creativity, problem-solving skills, and an interest in history.
Kids' Corner serves as both an educational exhibit and a welcoming space for families, providing opportunities for intergenerational learning and meaningful museum experiences for visitors of all ages.
