Hours & Location                        

The Hi-Desert Nature Museum is open Wednesday through Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The museum is closed on Town of Yucca Valley holidays.                 

Admission is free, and donations are greatly appreciated. Your support helps us provide educational programs, care for our collections, and serve the community.

Free parking is available for all visitors.

Getting Here

The Hi-Desert Nature Museum is located within the Yucca Valley Community Center Complex, just off Highway 62 on Dumosa Avenue, between Sage Avenue and Highway 247 (Old Woman Springs Road).

Driving Directions

From Interstate 10:
Take State Highway 62 east toward Yucca Valley. Turn left at the traffic light onto Dumosa Avenue.

From Joshua Tree or Twentynine Palms:
Travel west on Highway 62 to Yucca Valley and turn right at the traffic light onto Dumosa Avenue.
